Buy yourself a barrel of Ägräs Whisky

The first Ägräs Whisky barrels of all time are for sale!

Now you can reserve our whisky in an unconventional way. Obviously you can also get your bottle of whisky in the future from an Alko, but now's your chance to secure a barrel and be one of few to own one.

We're giving you the opportunity to buy either a 32 litre or 250 litre oak barrel of whisky from our first whisky batch.

The whisky has to mature for at least three years for it to be called whisky. The 32 litre barrel has a minimum maturation of four years and the 250 litre barrel an eight year maturation period. After the minimum maturation, set by Ägräs, you as a customer can choose when the whisky will be bottled and delivered. The bottles will be delivered to a pre-chosen Alko by the customer.

32 litre PX Sherry Oak Barrel

A 32 litre barrel is yours for 5 300€. The payment is split in two parts. The first part of 2 650€ covers the prepayment, distilling and maturing and is paid when you’ve done that great decision of getting your hands on one of these. The second part, also 2 650€ covers the manufacturing taxes and alcohol taxes according to Finnish alcohol legislation as well as the bottling and other processing fees. The second part is to be paid when the whisky is bottled.

This barrel is a PX sherry oak barrel and the malts are peat smoked barley malts.

When calculating according to a four year maturing process the end result is 28 litres of ready whisky of 50% ABV. The final amount of whisky is barrel specific.

250 litre Oloroso Sherry Oak Barrel

For the high rollers out there, we’ve got the 250 litre beast of a barrel for 29 500€. The payment terms are the same as with the smaller barrel: 14 750€ when the decision of the investment is made and 14 750€ when the whisky is bottled.

The barrel is an Oloroso sherry oak barrel and the malts are peat smoked barley malts.

When calculating according to an eight year maturing process the end result is 170 litres of ready whisky of 50% ABV. The final amount of whisky is barrel specific.
