Ägräs Cocktail Corner derives from our cocktail list at Tap Room in Fiskars. The bar is sparsely open during the darker months, so therefore we’re giving back by featuring some of the cocktail recipes to impress on your friends.

This refreshing cocktail is quite an experience. It’s yellow, yet it has a taste of blackcurrant leaf.

Tools needed: Shaker, strainer & muddler
Glass: On the rocks


  • 40ml Ägräs Akvavit

  • 80ml Apple Juice (preferably natural / hazy)

  • 20ml Lemon juice

  • 20ml Salted honey*

  • 1 cm Fresh Turmeric

  • 0,5cm Fresh Ginger

Garnish: Lemon peel

Make it like this:

Put the turmeric and ginger into the shaker and muddle thoroughly. Add the rest of the ingredients and a lot of ice. Shake it like you mean it. Shake it, shake, shake it. Double strain into the glass, add a few cubes of ice and garnish with a lemon peel.

*Salted honey:
1,5 kg honey
1,5 l water
1,5 tsp salt

(Hox, the final amount per cocktail is just 20ml, so you might want to lessen the amounts in the recipe.) Bring the water to a boil. Add the honey and salt and stir until clear. Tap it on a bottle. Best before two months after bottling.
